Dave is available for conducting Round To It seminars for Parent Groups and other non-profit groups. His presentation will assist persons with disabilities and their families in identifying and resolving their unique life and estate planning problems they must face in order to guarantee a quality lifestyle when the family is no longer available (i.e. parents extended illness, nursing home, death, etc.). Rather than follow the standard “estate planning presentation" format with discussion on legal and financial terms, this session will take professionals and families from the first to the last planning step while bringing in the applicable professional ideas and techniques (translated into English). The emphasis will be on giving down to earth assistance that the workshop participant can use today! Topics will include: Guardianship, social environments, protecting governmental benefits, preparing appropriate Wills and Supplemental Needs Trust, final arrangements, preparing Letters of Intent, avoiding family conflict and reducing professional costs. Using a discussion format this workshop will take the participants step by step through the Comprehensive Life Planning Process. Dave will be presenting another 'Round To-It Session' on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 for the 2012 Regional Conference of the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota (DSAM) . This year's Conference will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington, MN. The location of the Hotel is 7800 Normandale Blvd. in Bloomington. This year's theme is 'By the Numbers'. Dave is not quite sure of the time of the presentation but we understand it will be held in the afternoon.
